Working knowledge of and relationships with various regulators and enforcement agencies.
John’s financial services experience includes global investment banking, retail banking and insurance and his subject matter expertise includes business conduct and ethics, UK Bribery Act, US FCPA, AML / KYC, fraud, sanctions and export controls, programme and project management, change management and learning and development.
As a PwC partner John worked on numerous large profile client engagements including the Lehman Administration. Through these complex multi year engagements John drew on his senior programme, compliance, business conduct and legislation experience to oversee and ensure the successful implementation of new operating frameworks, facilitating interim management to evolve into the leadership, resourcing and operating models in place at these organisations today.
John has worked with the Boards, Chief Compliance Officers and General Counsel of large highly exposed multinationals to advise on compliance governance, compliance strategies, compliance programme design and implementation.
John has regularly led Board and senior executive workshops focused on governance, risk, regulation and compliance for international clients, represented his firm at the WEF Partnership Against Corruption Initiative and has regularly written and presented on regulatory and compliance matters in the UK and Internationally. Further John is a FCA Skilled person.
Through leading the Corporate and Public sector practice within the OCREUS Group John works with firms large and small providing advisory, opinions, strategy, governance, conduct and values, ethics, financial crime mitigation and assurance.
